Embraer announces full maintenance support agreement with Hawker Pacific

Hawker Pacific will provide full maintenance support for Asia Pacific customers of the Embraer Legacy 500 and Legacy 450 after signing a contract with Embraer Executive Jets. 

The singing of the contract between the two companies is timely given that he Legacy 500 is due to enter Service in the first half of 2014, while the Legacy 450 is expected to obtain certification the following year.

Hawker Pacific has inked a deal with Embraer Executive Jets

Hawker Pacific has inked a deal with Embraer Executive Jets to to provide full maintenace support to Legacy 500 mid-size and Legacy 450 mid-light jet customers in the Asia-Pacific region. 

The Legacy 500 is due to enter service in the first half of this year and is expected to be followed later in the year by certification of the Legacy 450. 

Hawker Pacific also announced it had sold the 200th GippsAero GA8 Airvan to roll of the production line to an Asia private operator and expects more sales of the Australian made singel-engine aircraft in coming weeks.

Hawker Pacific, the leading aircraft sales and product support company in Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bell Helicopter with the intent to enter into future purchase agreements for various Bell helicopter models based on anticipated market growth. The deal reflects the overwhelming response to Bell Helicopter products by the market, and puts Hawker Pacific in a much stronger position to meet that demand.

The multi-aircraft, multi-year agreement was signed by Hawker Pacific CEO, Alan Smith and Bell Helicopter President and CEO, John Garrison at Bell Helicopter’s Chalet at the 2014 Singapore Airshow at Changi International Airport.

Tony Jones, Hawker Pacific’s Chief Operating Officer – Asia said: "We continue to see growing support and serious enquiries from the market for Bell helicopters across our region. Based on this feedback, we have put the wheels in motion with this MOU and are planning for numerous aircraft putting us in an even stronger position to meet our customers’ needs in a timely manner."

Hawker Pacific Paint Facility Proves Popular

Aircraft sales and product support company, Hawker Pacific, anticipates a busy year after its paint shop facility at Singapore/Seletar (SIN) has proven to be quite popular last year. 

Over the course of 2013, the certified facility was filled with OEM warranty repairs, livery changes and full re-sprays on a variety of business aircraft. “We had identified early on a growing need for operators to reduce the cost burden of having to fly to the US or Europe for mid-life repaints, particularly as the fleet of local business aircraft matures,” says Hawker Pacific Asia’s COO, Tony Jones.

Asia-Pacific to take 1500 regional jets over 20 years - Embraer

Embraer SA, the world's largest maker of regional aircraft, forecast on Wednesday that Asia-Pacific carriers will take delivery of a total of 1,500 jets in the 70-130 seat capacity range over the next 20 years, worth around $70 billion.
