The Role: We are seeking an experienced B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support our MRO Cairns Facility. As a key member of our maintenance, repair and overhaul team, you will safely and efficiently execute mechanical and/or structural maintenance activities. Remuneration In the range of $58,000 - $66,000 commensurate with skills and experience. Your skills and experience: Cert IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) or equivalent/higher qualifications. Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft systems maintenance. Experience working in aircraft maintenance. Preferred experience on B200/300, Fokker, DASH 8 aircraft types. A proven ability to work in a team environment and able to work safely with minimal supervision. Computer literate in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft and Excel.

Your skills and experience: Certificate IV in Mechanical Aeroskills or equivalent qualifications. CASA Part 66 B1 or equivalent licence. Chief Design Engineer
Job Title: Chief Design Engineer

The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for the Special Missions Design Engineering Group to ensure optimum engineering delivery. To be considered for this role, all candidates must hold an Australian citizenship, and be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
Your skills and experience: Relevant engineering degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering. People management experience/training desirable. Highly motivated and demonstrated ability to work under pressure. Understand the commercial and schedule implications of engineering decisions. Strong customer and service delivery focus. Extensive Design Engineering experience in aircraft industry, including knowledge of CASA and DASA regulations and requirements. Hold or be eligible to hold CPEng. CASA 21M authorised person and or equivalent design authority under an alternate recognised regulatory authority will be highly regarded. Eligible for RPEQ accreditation. Proactive and results-oriented with experience working to deadlines and delivering quality results. Ability to work as part of an experienced and dedicated team, as well as autonomously.
Specific Responsibilities: Develop and manage all technical aspects of our Special Missions Designing Engineering Group. Contribute to management and performance management of Design Engineering personnel from a technical perspective, including technical and general leadership and direction. Ensure all activities meet regulatory, legislative, company, and design requirements and standards. Responsible for the management of Special Missions’ Regulatory Approvals. Maintain professional design standards, services and engineering ethics, including leadership and mentoring. Participate in technical review and development of Special Missions personnel including identification of applicable training courses. Development of Special Missions training needs analysis and Training Manual. Perform technical functions and responsibilities associated with project activities according to budgeted costs and schedules. Develop and maintain systems and procedures in accordance with National Airworthiness Authority, ISO, Australian Standards and company requirements.

Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer (Structures & Avionics)
Job Title: Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer (Structures & Avionics)

The Role: These roles sit within Hawker Pacific's Special Missions business unit which provides aircraft design and project management services locally and internationally. We specialise in special mission fit-outs (fixed and rotary wing, civil, paramilitary and military), airline reconfigurations (including B737, B747, B767 and A320), and Government agency fleet services and in-service support. In one of these roles you will provide ongoing engineering and customer support to our Defence and civil aviation customers, and you will primarily work across developing, designing and reviewing designs for aircraft repairs and modifications. You will have the autonomy to work independently, as well as part of an experienced and dedicated team, ensuring work is completed to schedule and delivered in-line with company requirements.
Your skills and experience: Relevant engineering degree or diploma in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical / Electronic (Avionics) Engineering (essential). Extensive aircraft design experience (post-graduation) in a civil and/or military environment with a demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems with minimum direction and/or supervision. Holder of CASA CASR Part 21M or Part 21.009 Authorisation (Approval of Technical Data) or, an equivalent authorisation within a military regulatory framework, or the qualifications/experience to qualify would be highly regarded. Skilled in the use of classical stress analysis techniques (Structures/Mechanical Engineers only) Exceptional analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail. Experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis (Mechanical & Structural Engineers only) and system safety analysis would be highly regarded. Project management experience. Skilled in the use of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and FEA (Strand7). Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Suite of Products. A demonstrated practical and pragmatic approach to solving aircraft design problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexible and adaptable to changing task priorities. Proactive and results-oriented with experience working to deadlines and delivering quality results. Australian Citizenship, with eligibility to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
Specific Responsibilities: Engineering design within the scope of delegated authorisation and in-line with regulatory design standards and Company policies and procedures. Development, review and approval of documentation for design certification and demonstration of compliance. Supervise and/or develop detailed drawings, tools, quantities, material lists and cost estimates, ensuring compliance and adherence to agreed specifications. Undertake design projects ensuring engineering and commercial outcomes are accurate and adhere to specifications and standards. Project management. Supervise the manufacture and installation of designs and modifications, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and compliance in delivery. Ensure that customers are kept informed, issues are resolved, and project deliverables are met on-time and within budget. Contribute to/lead the planning and quoting of projects as required. Actively promote, participate in, and comply with Hawker Pacific WHS and Environment programs and the HP Safety Management System.

The Role: You will be based at our Cairns Facility, which provides high quality Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul, Avionics and Design Engineering and FBO services to national and international customers. As a key member of our Hawker Pacific Team you will safely and efficiently execute avionic Line/Base maintenance and modification activities.
Your skills and experience: Licenced on one or more of the following aircraft types: ATR, SAAB 340, King Air 300 series or similar experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility performing fault diagnosis and rectification. Project coordination experience Demonstrated understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft Avionic systems A proven ability to work in a team environment and are able to work with minimal supervision Prior experience leading small teams within a general aviation and maintenance environment to deliver work orders based on time, cost and quality standards is advantageous
