The Role: Our Credit Department is located within our Head Office at Bankstown Airport, in conjunction with all of our other financial and corporate services’ groups who work to support our global operations. The successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for follow up and collection of overdue customer invoices and reconciliation of accounts for the business for the duration of the maternity leave period.

Senior Design Engineer - Avionics
Job Title: Senior Design Engineer - Avionics

The Role: We currently have a permanent position available for a qualified and experienced Design Engineer (Avionics) to join the Cairns based Design Team of Hawker Pacific. This position is perfect if you are seeking a career move to a more varied Design Engineering role incorporating design, repair, and project management functions.
Your skills and experience: Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical, Avionics or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 3 years of experience in CAD-drafting (e.g. AutoCAD) and compliance finding for avionics modifications. Knowledge of CASR 21M regulations. System knowledge for common GA and RPT avionics systems, both current and legacy. Eligible for Australia wide ASIC. Project management experience, high written and oral communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Proactive and result orientated with experience working to deadlines delivering quality results. Ability to work autonomously as well as integrate within a team environment.
Specific Responsibilities: Design avionics modifications for Part 23, 25, 27 and 29 certified aircraft and confirm compliance against applicable regulations to support the approval of technical data. Independently manage avionics modification and programs on aircraft in our hangar’s or at customer’s facilities. Train and mentor graduate design engineers. Support business development and quoting activities. Provide technical support to customers, installers and avionics workshop technicians. | Desirable Current or previous CASR Part 21.009 (Systems E, I & R) and/or equivalent approval (CVE, DER). The warranty debtor accounts and statements are reconciled with the warranty status report and all claim balances are accurate and accountable. Outstanding claims should be expedited with a view to clearing all outstanding debts within 90 days Provide backup duties to support the absence of the Senior Warranty Administrator as required. Specific Responsibilities: Quality, Safety and Environment Ensure maintenance performed on aircraft under their control is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable regulatory authorities Provide input to responses to audit findings of internal and external audits and take action as directed on remedial and corrective actions against audit findings and corrective action requests. Provide input into the development and revisions of company procedures for continuous improvement. Actively participate, comply and promote Hawker Pacific OH&S and Environment programs and Aviation Safety Management System Proactively drive a safety culture amongst the Hangar team and actively ensure that all staff are appropriately using PPE and observing company safety procedures. Ensure HIRA and SHOR’s are reported immediately in accordance with Company procedure. Provide input into PPDP’s and training requirements of hangar team. Provide support to the Supervisor and MRO management team as required – covering allocated duties in their absence. Operational Leadership Assist in running heavy check/multiple project (s) assigned by MRO Supervisor and/or Service Centre Manager Monitor progress of all projects assigned to ensure that projects are on track and any issues are escalated for attention Work with Supervisor and Service Centre Manager to actively assess allocation of manpower and resources to ensure timely completion of maintenance and modifications of assigned aircraft within budgetary expectations with emphasis on productivity and efficiency. Contribute to the Supervisors’ weekly review of the production forecast schedule to proactively support planning for future/upcoming aircraft scheduling to ensure resources are available for timely completion of projects Review job packs for assigned projects and ensure they are complete and reflect customer requirements Monitor daily hours reported in IFS for assigned projects to ensure accurate reporting of actual hours worked against each project.
